Video Game Orchestra Concert

Video Game Orchestra

Friday, May 8th

Admittance is free with concert registration!

VGO is a non-profit orchestra that exclusively performs contemporary, orchestral arrangements of video game music, all arranged by student composers. Consisting of players from over 20 countries who are students in Berklee College of Music, The Boston Conservatory, The New England Conservatory, and Boston University, the internationally diverse, multi-cultural orchestra creates a very unique taste in its sound.

The orchestra was founded by Shota Nakama in April 2008 not only to gain "Musical Respect" for the video game community, but also to provide practical learning experiences, exposure, and networking opportunity for student composers, musicians, and engineers outside of school.

On May 8th, at the Independent Game Conference East, The VGO chamber group, consisting of some of the finest musicians around Boston will take the stage. VGO will give a more intimate, yet as dynamic and powerful a performance, as the full VGO. The VGO Chamber Group will be performing some notable pieces from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Super Mario, Halo, and many others!
