Synopsis

After playing something a million times you lose a lot of perspective, and its important to learn how your target audience will respond. If the first time a players has seen your game is after its out on store shelves, its too late to get key feedback that could have resulted in greater sales and better reviews. This talk will cover everything from finding good testers, getting permission from parents, running a blind test, recording data, and using it to intelligently improve the quality and fun factor of your game. Stories from actual test sessions will illustrate what can go right, and what can go horribly horribly wrong when you expose your game to an unsuspecting public.
